Hello Birders, Today (April 4th), on a rainy Saturday morning in Kingston we drove west along King Street and Bath Road. Birds of interest sighted along the way included a COMMON LOON in the lake near the intersection of King Street and Albert Street, a single PIED-BILLED GREBE at Elevator Bay, a "BIBBED MALLARD" in the cornfields immediately west of Elevator Bay, at least 12 DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS and TREE SWALLOWS at Collins Bay.
The "bibbed mallard" was unusual to us and most closely resembled this individual: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3055/2303148339_fe4cf2cd17.jpg?v=0 Joshua See and Petra Deane DIRECTIONS: -King Street West can be accessed from the 401 at Kingston via Sir John A.
