Following up on a report (OutdoorOntario.net) that a Western Grebe was
found by Ed O'Connor at Ashbridges' Bay Park, Toronto, 13 February; I
eventually refound the bird today (15 February) at 17:15, ID was also
confirmed by Roy Smith on the spot.

The Grebe was quite far out on the lake, off the point that is
completely surrounded with very large rocks along the shoreline, there
was also a 'No Swimming' sign on a lamp there, this penbinsular is
about 200-300m east of the extreme SW tip. Small images of the Grebe
were obtained which are sufficiently clear for documentation.

Directions: Ashbridge's Bay Park is at foot of Coxwell Road, off
Lakeshore Blvd., east of the Leslie Street Spit inToronto.
