The Green-winged Teal was below the dam in the company of Canada Geese or alone, and was last seen feeding beyond the island. The Wood Duck has been seen above and below the dam, sometimes with the Mallards and Am Black Duck. Also at Chaffey's were 15 White-winged Crossbill, 2 Purple Finch, 40 Pine Siskin, 60 American Goldfinch, 5 Common Redpoll, and 16 Cedar Waxwings eating buckthorn berries.
best wishes, Paul Martin To get to Chaffey's Lock from Hwy 15 just north of Elgin, go west on Chaffey's Lock road until you reach the bridge over the lock.
