On Saturday Dec 20th the Brereton Field Natruralists of Barrie went on
a Christmas bird count, ( I will post results when I get them. BUT
the hightlight of the trip was finding the White winged crossbills. A
club member had told us where to look out for them. We travled west
along hwy 90 (Dunlop street) until we reached McKinnon Road, (close to
Angus) and turned north. As soon as we turned the corner we started
to look for the birds and they were on the west side in tall pine
trees about .5k along the street. The pine trees are on property
where the houses are. Its worth the drive to find them.
Thanks Linda Crome
