Hey Ontbirders, seems like the day to report crossbills.

I was doing some work in north Toronto today and throughout the morning had at
least 3 flocks of White-winged Crossbills calling and flying in close groups
around the neighbourhood. I couldn't be sure if it was the same group as they
did seem to be circling somewhat. The largest group was 30 individuals and
another had 19. It did seem as though they were hanging around so interested
folks might check tomorrow by walking the street.

Directions: From corner of Islington Ave. and Nashville Rd. (just east of Hwy.
27) go north two blocks and make a right (east) on Treelawn Blvd. The flocks
were along this road just where it starts to turn north (left) suddenly. It's
essential to know what these birds sound like.

Cheers,

Andrew Keaveney
