David Okines, bander-in-charge of the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory just called to have me post this message since his computer is down.
Fork-tailed Flycatcher was closely observed and photographed flying around the Observatory starting about 11:30 am Sunday, Oct 5. They have observed this rare species for about an hour when he called me asking this message to be posted. Directions: from Belleville, ON, go south in Prince Edward County to Piston, follow CR 10 to Cherry Valley turn left to Milford continue on CR 10 to South Bay and turn right on CR 13 towards Prince Edward Point and the Long Point Road to the tip where the Bird Observatory is located by the signs and flag.
