Yesterday morning (July 24th) I heard and observed a flock of ~35
White-winged Crossbills in the Cavan Swamp, on the western edge of the City
of Peterborough, and today (July 25th) flocks of 12 and 6 in the Martin
Creek Fen north of Lindsay and the Grace Creek Swamp south of Kirkfield,
respectively, both in the City of Kawartha Lakes (formerly Victoria Co.).

Although all flocks observed were on the move (all in a southeasterly
direction), the Cavan Swamp can be reached by driving west on Peterborough
Rd. 9 (aka Mount Pleasant Rd, the westward continuation of Sherbrooke St.)
from its junction with Hwy 7; the Martin Creek Fen by driving north for
6.5km on Kawartha Lakes Rd. 21 (aka Killarney Bay Rd.) from its junction
with Hwy 35, 6.5km north of Lindsay, and; the Grace Creek Swamp by driving
4.5km south on the Kirkfield Rd. from the village of Kirkfield on Kawartha
Lakes Rd. 48 (old Hwy 48).
