While we were the last few watching the Ibis just before dusk, it took off and
flew to the east. We don't know if it ha ddone so last night. I flew out of
sight into the larger Cootes Paradise marsh in the area of the infamous
"Willows" so if it ain't at the Dundas Hydro Ponds tomorrow, try these
alternate directions for looking for it.

Directions to Hydro Ponds: from QEW from Toronto, esit i Hamilton at Main West
and go west (left). Turn right onto Cootes Drive just past McMaster Hospital.
Right again on olympic Drive and park just past the bridge.

It is best to park in the front of the hydro utility station on Olympic
Drive (near the intersection with Cootes Drive) in Dundas. To reach the pond
follow the north side of the Desjardins Canal on the east side of
the road.

Alternate Directions to the South Shore Trail to the Willows: backtrack from
the Hydro parking lot and go left onto Cootes drive. There is a street parking
area just before the bridge halfway back to the hospital. Park there and cross
Cootes drive AND cross the bridge. You will find an unmarked trail entrance
about 50 feet past the bridge. Follow this trail along the stream and it will
take you out to the Willows and mud flats in greater Cootes Paradise. A
spotting scope is an excellent idea.
Good luck. At least you may see a pelican....
