Hi All, Jean and I observed the American Golden-Plover (observed yesterday at Municipal Beach) at Jones Beach this afternoon (2:30 PM). Caspian Tern (2), Sanderling (2), Lesser Yellowlegs (1), American Wigeon (2) and Killdeer (1) were also observed.
At Municipal Beach (2:00 PM), Sanderling (5), Semipalmated Sandpiper (7) and Least Sandpiper (1) were observed. Bob Highcock and Jean Hampson St. Catharines Directions For Jones Beach, travel east on Lakeshore Road and turn left on Broadway after crossing the Welland Canal, At this time you have to turn left due to construction on Lakeshore Road. Jones Beach is at the end of Broadway. For Municipal Beach, travel west on Lakeshore Road from the Welland Canal.
