Hi All

Yesterday at Port Burwell Provincial Park we had 3
Sanderlings and 8 Caspian Terns amongst the hundreds
of Ring Billed, Bonepartes and Herring Gulls on the
beach. As well a juvenile Peregrine buzzed some of the
gulls lifting the group.

Also in with the gulls was a 1st year Glaucous Gull.
Seems awfully early to me??

A nice array of Monarchs and one Buckeye Butterfly
were also seen. I think it has been a good year for
the Monarchs.

Good Birding,

Ellen Smout

Directions: Hwy 73 south from the 401, past Aylmer to
the Nova Scotia Line, go east to Port Burwell. Follow
the signs for the Provincial Park.
