There was a male Eurasian Wigeon this afternoon in the flooded field =
south of Concession 1, west of Highway 59, along with many American =
Wigeons and other ducks, swans and geese. The wigeon was one of 14 =
species of ducks we observed in the area today, but the only geese we =
saw were Canadas. Other birds of note included several thousand Tundra =
Swans still scattered throughout the area and at least half a dozen =
Horned Grebes in the bay at Port Rowan, along with Sandhill Crane (Big =
Creek Marsh), Eastern Screech Owl (Concession A nesting boxes), Wild =
Turkey (appropriately enough at Turkey Point PP) and Short-eared Owl =
(Fisherville).

Directions: As per Ron Ridout's directions, Concession 1 is just south =
of the OPP Station on Highway 59.
