I saw an Ovenbird around noon today, Jan 13 '07, at a private house in North York. The bird was standing on the ground at the base of a cedar tree beside the house, and making forays out into the garden. An interesting bird on its own, even more so with the one being seen at York University. Trend or co-incidence?

The owner wanted everyone to know that the bird was observed in the Yonge St./Sheppard Ave. area of North York, but asked me not to provide detailed directions.

North York is the north central part of the Metropolitain Toronto area; the bird was seen north of Hwy 401 and east of Yonge St. in a residential area.
