Just a follow-up on yesterday's report. At 4:30 pm (dusk) yesterday, I counted a total of 12 cardinals in my backyard. For those of you who aren't aware, male cardinals don't tolerate each other's company very well and yesterday's frequent spats while visiting the feeders reaffirmed this fact. The females are so much better behaved. Today, in addition to the other usual suspects, 2 carolina wrens (resident in the area) made an appearance. _________________________________________________________________ Be one of the first to try Windows Live Mail. http://ideas.live.com/programpage.aspx?versionId=5d21c51a-b161-4314-9b0e-4911fb2b2e6dFrom [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Dec 22 14:26:19 2006 Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Delivered-To: [email protected] Received: from web52905.mail.yahoo.com (web52905.mail.yahoo.com [206.190.49.15]) by king.hwcn.org (Postfix) with SMTP id D48CD638D8 for <[email protected]>; Fri, 22 Dec 2006 14:26:18 -0500 (EST) Received: (qmail 57286 invoked by uid 60001); 22 Dec 2006 19:26:19 -0000 DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; q=dns; c=nofws; s=s1024; d=yahoo.ca; h=Message-ID:X-YMail-OSG:Received:Date:From:Subject:To:MIME-Version:Content-Type:Content-Transfer-Encoding; b=hSAjqzOq+6IQ0AzJCHyRXhra5h5cM8Jjjt3wcJP/FmKulNmZtwuKNwg2Niwf2OBxDij9xbf552U3H9Y1ugvWvphThFqz70JauQDQzMqC0YkypzWJRT8yMX4u54/BmTa1RM8i5pWKMXxUD++aNWHNqAyzSbekKOItkLTIZIf7Z48 ; Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> X-YMail-OSG: SvJ_anAVM1kB06OOGDunHbp.gLskiXRe_0Vki2wsEA6SzKT4zcPZltZUYAXkPMnCJU7.5HTqq5mNgvJkGFdYQTBoeqeAqBiCtUY4fNqMN52nV0DdivXBRUa4WzzYogJAlUdbsExEcTPyx8E- Received: from [65.92.190.103] by web52905.mail.yahoo.com via HTTP; Fri, 22 Dec 2006 14:26:19 EST Date: Fri, 22 Dec 2006 14:26:19 -0500 (EST) From: jennie chruszcz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.1 Subject: [Ontbirds]cancellation of ontbirds X-BeenThere: [email protected] X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 22 Dec 2006 19:26:19 -0000

The bird was relocated this morning by myself, Kevin McLauglin, Rob Dobos and Dave Don in the same general area. This morning it was feeding on the burdock patch in between the first parking area as you enter Princess Point (room enough for 6 cars) and the main parking lot which is a little further. Patience is necessary as the bird stays low especially in these winds. It is travelling with the same mix of birds. It moved around a bit as well. Directions to Princess Point: Take QEW to Main Street West exit. Turn right at Main Street and follow to the next light which is Longwood Drive. Turn Left on Longwood Drive and follow to the end at Princess point which is on your left at the bottom of the long hill. Thanks Brandon for digging this up for the Hamilton CBC. Anyone seeing this bird on Decmeber 26th, please email me to let me know people will be out looking but may not turn up right away. Thanks, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Cheryl Edgecombe
