From the viewing platform today were --MOORHEN, Am.Coot, female Am.Wigeon
(we had no luck with the Nov.17 Eurasian), 9 N.Pintails, several N.Shovelers among others on the wetland. A female Purple Finch visited. Other birds of note-- Red-breasted Nuthatch, N.Shrike, and near the house at the top end of hall's Rd.--imm. Red-headed Woodpecker.

A request to photographers--if you intend to come down before and after the CMRW closes down, please bring bird feed (bear in mind that the large garbage pail will be removed on Nov.30)

THE WIND BLEW THE RAPTORS SOUTH OUT OVER THE LAKEFRONT--THEY ROSE HIGH,
SOARING ON THERMALS BACK OVER LAND, ZIGZAGGING THEIR WAY WESTWARD--QUITE A
SIGHT.

Raptor Observations:
1 TV; 6 NH; 10 SS; 2 CH; 4 RS; 672 RT (1 was a juvenile dark morph); 6 RL
(all dark morph); 2 GOLDEN EAGLES; 2 distant Unidentified Eagles; 1 ML; 1
UB

Non-raptor Observations:
purple finch, 1 SHORT-EARED OWL; several Common loons; Hairy Woodpecker ;
adult Northern Shrike
