Mild south winds and a Thermal Updraft Velocity=0 along the Lake Ontario waterfront were not conducive to a migratory raptor flight on Nov.5. In spite of it, 5 regular observers and a number of photographers and visitors came to the CMRW platform. On Nov. 4 2 Ring-necked Pheasants were spotted alongside the north end of Hall's Rd., and a NORTHERN PARULA was noted along the south pathway.

Today/Nov.5 a Northern Parula was spotted again--we do hope that a resident Cooper's Hawk doesn't get it. Along the same path were both kinglets and a Fox Sparrow.

As for the hawk watch on Nov.5-- very slow-- 2 Sharp-shinneds and 1 Cooper's over a period of 5 hours.

Observations made by 6 raptor-observers over 5 hours on Nov.5

Observers--Jim McKnight, Ron Stephenson, Doug Lockrey, Greg Stuart
