The Yellow-throated Warbler was at the PetroCanada pier in Oakville at
10:15 this morning, foraging among the boulders.
Directions: Exit the QEW at Burloak and go towards the lake. Burloak
becomes Great Lakes. Turn left at the lights at Lakeshore. The Petro
Canada Pier is very close to those lights.

This morning just before 10 am I found a female Black-backed Woodpecker
along a small trail off County Road 8. This road can be accessed from
Highway 17 east of Rockland or from the 417 by taking exit 58.
DIRECTIONS
Location of Tamarack Road courtesy of Neily World.
http://ca.geocities.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/larose9.htm
From junction of Tamarack Rd and Cty Rd 8 go east on CR 8 until you lose
sight of the tamarack (trees with golden needles) plantation on your left,
then look for the entrance of a trail on the south (right) side of CR 8.
Walk for about a minute on this trail and stop. The woodpecker was in the
spruce plantation on this east (left) side of the trail.
