Early this afternoon I saw a medium sized Northern Flicker pecking/feeding on
my backlawn along with several other birds. This Flicker is somewhat smaller
than others I have seen on the property.

Common Loons were on the move again today over north central Elgin County
and south west Oxford County. From 0710 to 0830, 103 passed over our
place. Ross Snider at Ingersoll reported 24 in a shorter time period and
with a much more restricted field of view. Blue Jays were noticeable
migrants at both loons watches today as well, with several groups of up to
50 birds.
