On Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 2:15 pm Ann Gibson and I observed a Great Egret on one of the small islands in the Rideau River just West of Billings Bridge(Bank Street), across from the Billings Bridge Shopping Centre.
Directions (courtesy Ottawa Field Naturalists website): From Highway 417, exit at Riverside/Alta Vista (exit #117) and go south staying on Riverside Drive until it crosses Bank Street.
