Justin Ripley and I found 2 juvenile LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS in the east cell at the Amherstview Sewage Lagoons today around 4:30p.m. A MERLIN, COOPER'S HAWK and a SHARP-SHINNED HAWK were patrolling the lagoons harassing the numerous PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, LESSER YELLOWLEGS and KILLDEERS. A NORTHERN PARULA, BLACKBURNIAN WARBER, NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS and 1 BARN SWALLOW were also seen.
