Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Claude Radley

Observers: Fred Urie, Janina Radley

Weather:
Early we were under overcast skies and reduced visibility and the wind was
from the SW-SSW-WNW. By 9:00 o'clock the wind had veered to the NNE, the
sky had brightened and the birds began to make an appearance. By 1:15 pm
the onshore flow was in effect with winds from the SE and the migration
came to a halt.

Raptor Observations:
Broadwings finally began to show in some numbers. The highlight of the day
was a great look at a Peregrine that came in low over the tower.

Non-raptor Observations:
Purple Martins dominated the Passerine flight today. A good number of Sora
are still calling from the marsh.

Predictions:
Chance of showers or thunderstorms tonight with the wind out of the North.
By morning, under mainly sunny skies, the wind will be out of the
northeast, gradually veering to east by afternoon.
