At the Cranberry Marsh Raptor Watch in southwest Whitby---A juvenile Bald
Eagle came through after most observers had left-thanks to Jim and Tania
Thomson for reporting it. The event of the morning was a newly-arrived
Merlin buzzing the "poled" owl, then flying off to harass an Osprey before,
himself departing westward.
24 migrating raptors were observed--incl 6 Ospreys, 9 Sharp-shinneds, 4
Kestrels , 1 Merlin and the BE.

We are still getting many Hummingbirds coming in low, along with monarchs
and dragonflies. Songbirds included Chestnut-sided W., Wilson's W.,
Yellowthroat, Black & Whit, Red-eyed Vireo, Rose-breasted grosbeak and a
Marsh Wren.
