Hi All; This morning myself and Nigel Shaw observed a couple of Wild Turkey with approximately 7 Poults. The Poults were we guessed about 2 weeks old by the size comparison to the Adult Birds. They barely were a quater of the Adult size. This seems unusually late for young Turkeys of this age! Could it be a second Clutch or perhaps a Re-nesting due to Predation? If anyone has any comments ,please E-mail me privately at [EMAIL PROTECTED] They were seen on the 2nd Line of Innisfil,East of the 20th Sideroad in the first Hay Field on the North side immediately past the Train Tracks. The 2nd Line is the first Line North of Hwy 89 and Crosses Hwy 11.Travel East from Hwy 11 past the first stop sign(20 SR).

The vireo was singing in the same general area it has been present since late June when found by atlasser Martha Allen. The bird was singing its heart out, apparently unaware that the Atlas was over. Wheatley Provincial Park is 1 km southeast of the town of Wheatley in extreme southwest Chatham Kent (at the northeast corner of the Pelee peninsula). It is accessed via Klondyke road just east of the liquor store in Wheatley. The vireo hangs around the main access road to the western campgrounds. This road crosses a small bridge at the north end of a creek where there is a small viewing platform on the south side. The vireo was about 150 metres west of the bridge in the scrubby area adjacent to the road edge. Good birding.
