Winds were light to moderate from the west-northwest. Raptor Observations: The flight was an improvement over the first two days but still modest in comparison to days to come. After a slow start, there was a more or less steady trickle of birds until mid afternoon when the movement dropped off. Non-raptor Observations: Of particular note today was the considerable hummingbird migration that took place. A rough estimate from most of the day coupled with a concerted effort to take a count during the last two hours yielded a conservative tally of 211 hummingbirds for the day. Undoubtedly several times that number passed through undetected. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/
