Hi Everyone
Yesterday evening, August 29th, I birded along the Ottawa River from
Shirley's Bay to Britannia checking out the gulls that roost on the river.
There were the usual 1000's of Ring-billed and 100's of Herring Gulls along
with 7 Lesser Black-backed (6 adults, 1 juv.) and an impressive number of
Great Black-back Gulls, over 240+, mainly adults. At Britannia Rapids there
was a concentration of 250+ Double-crested Cormorants.
