Directions from Magaret Bain:Exit Hwy.401 at Port Hope/Welcome, Exit 461. Go north on Hwy.2 for less than 1km to a flashing light - here Hwy.2 turns west and Dale Road goes east. Go east about 2km on Dale Road to Hawkins Road which is only 200 metres or so east of Sylvan Glen Road, both running north from Dale Road.
At 2:00 pm the buff-breasted sandpipers were still easily seen at the
All-Green sod farm in the location described below. They were just north
of the bungalow on the sod farm, and all three were feeding together about
15 meters from Hawkins Road. Several birders had a marvelous view of all
three birds.
