A Buff-breasted Sandpiper was found on Airport Road East of Upper James St.
just south of Hamilton by Jim Dowall before lunch today so Angie and I went
to see it. It was still there at 1:00 p.m. along with 8 adult American
Golden (and one Black-bellied) Plovers.
Directions from Brantford: Take hwy 403 east to the new hwy 6 South exit in
Ancaster. Where highway 6 meets James street (old highway 6) go north toward
the Mount Hope Airport. At Airport road, turn right (east) and after about
.4 kilometers you will see the sod farm fields on your right. The best spot
to safely stop is at the main field entrance (horse field #1).
Cheers,
Ken
