Ontbirders:

Birding Wolfe Island this am.  Of note were 32 Black Bellied Plovers on the 
practice fairway of the golf course on the west end of the island off of Hwy 
#96.

Several warblers over the last 4 days

All but the Pine were spotted on the trail East of the main trail - immediately 
after you cross the bridge veer off to the right.  Today they were found on the 
west side of this side trail about half way up.  On Thursday they were found at 
the second  90 degree left turn on the east  side just by the small trail which 
leads to the river's edge.  On Friday the Chestnut sided was spotted just after 
the first left turn of the side trail.  The Pine was spotted on the lower main 
trail which follows the river  about a 1/2 mile after the main trail splits 
into two.

Glen Rouge Campground is located on the North side of Kingston Road just  1/4 
mile East of the Port Union/Sheppard Ave. intersection

A fabulous day of shorebirding with Dave Don, Rob Dobos, Kevin McLaughlin
and myself at both Rock Point PP and Townsend Sewage Lagoons.

The following birds were seen at Townsend Sewage Lagoons,

Least, Semipalmated, Solitary, Pectoral, Stilt, Spotted Sandpiper,
Semipalmated Plover, American Golden Plover, Wilson's Phalarope, Red-necked
Phalarope, Wilson's Snipe, Short-billed Dowitcher, Greater Yellowlegs,
Lesser Yellowlegs, Killdeer.

At Rock Point Prov. Park:

Highlights - Kevin McLaughlin found an adult Western Sandpiper, Piping
Plover was still there as well, three Red Knots.  Also seen a Lesser
Black-backed Gull (2nd alternate).
Others seen - Semipalmated, Least, Pectoral, Bairds, Spotted, Stilt,
White-rumped Sandpiper, Semipalmated Plover, Black-bellied Plover, Greater
Yellowlegs, Lesser Yellowlegs, Ruddy Turnstone, Short-billed Dowitcher and
Sanderling.


Directions to Townsend:

For Townsend Lagoons turn right from Highway 6 to # 69 to Townsend. Turn
left on Keith Richardson Parkway. Go to Concession 14, turn right and go
about 750 m. Lagoons are on your right.


Directions to Rock Point P.P.

Rock Point Provincial Park is on Lake Erie, south of Dunnville. Once in the
park drive in as far as you can and turn right to the parking lot near the
boardwalk. Park near the boardwalk which leads to the viewing platform.
Follow the trail to the beach access.
