Ontbirders
Several other birders and I saw at least three Stilt Sandpipers and 6-8 Baird's Sandpipers at Presqu'ile this afternoon between Owen Point and the beach 4 lookout. All birds were fresh juveniles. Lowering water levels are producing good habitat for increasing amounts of shorebirds. Also in the area were a Black-bellied Plover adult, juveniles of Least and Semipalmated Sandpipers and adult and juvenile Semipalmated Plovers.
The way to Presqu'ile is well-signed south of Brighton.
Good shorebirding.
