Thanks to a phone call from Michael Carlson, Fred Jazvac and myself were able to locate the Baird's Sandpiper. Also present were a couple of Greater Yellowlegs and a Lesser Yellowlegs. The Baird's was located in the north east corner of the water retention pond in behind the Independent Grocery Store north of Port Elgin.
Directions Travel north on Hwy #21 from Port Elgin and turn left, west on the 10th Conc. of Saugeen. The pond is just west of the highway on the left hand side of the 10th Conc. Yours in birding Mike Pickup
