This evening at Jim's pond there were 10 shorebird  and 6 waterfowl species
present.

Highlights

9 Short-billed Dowitchers
22 Dunlin
4 White-rumped Sandpipers
1 American Wigeon
10 Northern Shovelers

Along the lakeshore there were small numbers of shorebirds including 1 Ruddy
Turnstone and 4 Sanderling. Offshore there was 1 Long-tailed Duck and 2
Common Loons present.

In Cool Hollow there were 2 Yellow-bellied Flycatchers, and 3 species of
warblers.

In the Oshawa Second Marsh there were 54 Mute Swans, 15 Great Blue Herons, 9
Black Terns and a Pied-billed Grebe visible.

 Directions: Exit from the 401 at the Harmony Rd. Exit (419) in Oshawa. Go
south on Farewell St. to Colonel Sam Drive. Go east on Colonel Sam Drive to
the parking lot at the GM Headquarters. Park in the west parking lot close
to the marsh. The east platform is located here.

For Jim's Pond park on the east side of the GM Headquarters and walk south
along the gravel trail. Jim's pond is approx. 400m south of the Building.
Continuing south along gravel path to the lakeshore you will pass through
Cool Hollow.
