After reading Rob Dobos's posting on willets in Hamilton I thought a
sighting of 10 flying west past Cobourg Harbour late yesterday, April
27, although long gone, might be of interest. In the same vein our
first Forster's Tern flew past in the opposite direction, April 26.
It hasn't seemed worthwhile posting fly-pasts [we have many here] as
it's virtually impossible to know where these birds are going to end
up, and we have a large observer void both east and west of us.
Cobourg harbour is at the foot of Division Street. Take 401 exit 474
[the easternmost of the two Cobourg exits] and drive south. Division
ends in the main pier.
