Hi Birders,

After trying four times in Bolton, one time in Bracebridge,=20
finally we found the Northern Hawk Owl in Welcome.
It was really a welcoming sign. The bird was easy to see while on the =
wire.=20
When it was sitting on the cross bar of the utility post, =20
hugging to main post it more challenging to find.=20
So be patient and drive up and down on HW 2 until you find it.
Apparently the best time of the day would be after 3:00 PM.
Besides the Northern Hawk Owl we had three Great Gray Owls, one Great =
Horned Owl,=20
one Northern Saw-whet Owl and one Boreal Owl on Leslie Spit in the =
morning and one=20
Barred Owl at Lynde's Shore late afternoon.
Many thanks to Andrew Don, who we joined on Leslie Spit,=20
and with the help of his keen eyesight and knowledge of the place and =
birds,
we found all six Owls.=20

Direction to Leslie Spit and Lynde's Shore as previously posted by other =
birders.

Direction to Welcome:
Take HW 401 towards East from Toronto, exit at 461 and turn North to =
Welcome.
In Welcome turn West on HW 2 towards Newcastle.
Check the utility post and wires in the following 1-2 km.

Good Luck,
Karl and Marienna Egressy
