A few days of owling turned up a number of wonderful sightings in previously posted areas.

We spent Friday afternoon along Rt. 6 and Rt. 14 east of Enterprise (north of Kingston). We had great looks at 6 Great Gray Owls. Also in the area was a Ruffed Grouse.

We birded Amherst Island in the fog on Saturday, turning up a Boreal Owl and Great Gray Owl in the Owl Woods. Also noted were 1 American Robin, 1 Ring-necked Pheasant, and 1 Northern Shrike.

Sunday morning found us on Wolfe Island, with excellent looks at 2 Barred Owls and 2 Snowy Owls (both immature males) - also 1 Northern Shrike.

I can't wait for our regular tour in a couple weeks.
