There has been a Great Grey Owl perched behind my house at 516 Johnson St. in
Kingston since 0815 this morning. It was still here as of 1045 when I got back
from school. It is being harassed by 3 American Crows.

For those looking, park on Frontenac Street just south of Johnson and listen
for the crows. The owl can be seen from a driveway that runs behind the houses
fronting Johnson between Alfred and Frontenac.

A male Snowy Owl was observed at 8:30am yesterday morning flying from the
ground to perch in a tree at Wye Marsh on our ski trails, more specifically
on our Red Ski Trail, on the return loop between Forget and Mole Hill Loop.
Also, a Great Gray Owl was observed perched in a tree in a small clearing
that is found on the intersection of our driveway entrance and Hwy 12.
A Northern Shrike was observed flying across our parking lot, perching
momentarily in a tree before flying off.

Also regular observations of a RUFFED GROUSE, TRUMPETER SWANS, birds at our
feeders (White Breasted Nuthatch, Northern Cardinal, Blue Jay, Mourning
Dove, Chicadee, Hairy and Downy Woodpecker), and a BOHEMIAN WAXWING found
dead in our parking lot this morning.

Directions: Take the 400 North to Hwy 12 West, take 12 West for approx. 20
min, the driveway for the Wye Marsh is on the left, we share a driveway with
Sainte Marie Among the Hurons, directly across the road from Martyr's
Shrine. You can also take the Midland/Penetanguishene turnoff onto Hwy 93,
turn right onto 12 East, pass under the railbridge, our driveway is on the
right.
