Cynthia Cook at the Forest Glen Herb Farm has a barn with a fatal attraction? A few weeks ago she had to push a GOSHAWK from the body of chicken that the Gos had chased into her barn. More recently, four days ago she found an ad. NORTHERN SHRIKE in the closed barn chasing HOUSE SPARROWS. It must have followed the sparrows in through a hole. Anyway it ate three sparrows before succumbing itself. The emaciated specimen will go to the Pinery Provincial Park. There was water available for it because it was in with the chickens. They ignored it. The F.G. Herb farm is situated on the lake off Lakeshore Rd. between Highland Glen and Kettle Point. That is between Sarnia and Grand Bend. Alf. Alf Rider. RR2 Forest.
