Hello everyone

The Peterborough CBC was held on December 19th in cold temperatures dropping
during the day to minus 25 deg C. Despite this the species count was a little
abive average at 52.

No new birds, and no new high numbers were found. However good finds were
Great Grey Owl (not seen after count day), Wilson's Snipe (seen the following
day but not reported since), White-crowned Sparrow, and Pintail (first time
since 1956). Good numbers of Snow Buntings and Pine Siskins were seen, but
Starlings and House Sparrows and a solitary Pileated Woodpecker were very low.
