A triple whammy of birds seen this morning in this amazingly small radius of
High Park.

This morning at 11:35 a.m. while searching for the White-eyed Vireo, Rob
Dobos spotted the Black-throated Gray Warbler also seen by myself, Dave Don
and Maris Apse. The bird was in with a flock of chickadees in some Austrian
Pines just at the top of the stairway leading down to Grenadier Pond on
Colbourne Lodge Road. The bird was seen here and then it flew down to some
other tall pines about 100 ft down the road where we refound it. It flew
out of here across the road and down into the valley near Grenadier Pond.
It stayed with this flock of chicadees so I would look for those in the
pines to start. While looking for it down near the stairway to the pond,
the White-eyed Vireo popped out for an appearance.

The Wilson's Warbler is also still present, seen today at 10:30 a.m. near
the Lower Duck Pond in the southeast corner of the park.

What a great day!!!

Cheers,
Cheryl Edgecombe
