This am, just north of Vivian Road on Hwy 48 : 1 Common raven presumably
feeding on roadkill. On the New Markham Bypass north of 16th Ave in
Markham : yesterday found 1 Glaucous gull & 2 Lesser black-backed gulls
- this am : 1 Glaucous & two Iceland gulls - these gulls were found at
random stops, all within 30-50 metres - so given 10 thousand gulls [who
can tell - they rise like confetti every time a Red-tailed hawk soars
near them] - there has to be lots of others in the mix - Stan Long
