Birders: the Black-necked Stilt continues to be very
easily seen from the platform at the Ridgetown Lagoon.
 It moves about this small lagoon site and frequently
feeds in the corner closest to the viewing stand.You
literally just have to exit your car, and walk up the few steps.
Today it was in the company of many Killdeer; 1 lone Dunlin;
Bonaparte's & Ring-Billed Gulls;Northern Shovelers; Ruddy
ducks; Bufflehead.
The Municipality has recently totally restructured this site
at a cost of well over $1 million . It is well posted
NO TRESPASSING-----and there are no exceptions !
While I was viewing the bird today, workmen were flushing the
system, and the water had been lowered considerably.
Hopefully this will not discourage the bird, it seems content just now.
