Hi!
On the night of Tuesday, 28 October, we caught and banded two Boreal Owls.
Both were young of the year, one was a male, and the other one a female. We
had 3 Saw-whet Owls the same night.
The next day, I heard a Dickcissel. We also saw a first-year Golden Eagle
that day. Also of interest, on the 26 of October, a Bohemain Waxwing was
seen, as well as a few Snow Buntings (two big flocks were seen the following
day).
Cabot Head Research Station is located near Dyers Bay, on the Bruce
Peninsula. Access to the station is limited. Please contact us for a visit.
