Hi Everyone
Yesterday, October 28,2004 I birded along the Ottawa River between Britannia
and Shirley's Bay. The visibility was good once the fog lifted. Overall, I
observed 29 species of waterbirds including Red-throated Loon (1) at Shirley's
Bay, 500 Black Scoter and 45 male Long-tailed Duck.
The water levels keep fluctuating along the river and there is stil some
shorebird habitat both at Andrew Haydon Park and Shirley's Bay with a few
Black-bellied Plover, Dunlin, Greater Yellowlegs and 1 White-rumped Sandpiper.
