TUV=1 (Very Poor) Observations: Flight never really got off the ground while the watch was manned today. Only 6 birds counted by 11:00 A.M. (bird time). I did note that both Holiday Beach and Erie Metro Park had some good birds today once the flight got going in their area. Su had a Woodcock on the ground at the edge of the road opposite where the eagle had been yesterday to start the morning off. Then at Sharpie alley, hundreds and hundreds of Robins, Grackles and Red-wings flying over. Some landed in the trees and the noise from the Grackles was unreal. There was Ruby-crowned Kinglets and White throated Sparrows along with Juncos just about every where you looked. A little further to the north, a good dozen Veerys, feeding in the bushes. Plus a female Rufous-sided Towhee, and a Fox Sparrow. It was really quite nice other than the light was so poor and there were virtually NO HAWKS!!!. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Dave Brown ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.on.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch: Oldest Hawkwatch in Ontario - since 1931 - located just east of Port Stanley on the cliff overlooking Lake Erie
