A survey of the Beeton sod farms (Southwest of Barrie) today turned two Buff-breasted Sandpipers. Also present were the following:

American Golden Plover, 69
Semipalmated Plovers, 12
Baird's Sandpiper, 10
Killdeer, 26
Northern Harrier, 1 male

The Buff-breasted Sandpipers were in a recently de-sodded field on the southwest corner of the intersection of the 15th sideroad and the 10th line of Tecumseth. To reach the 15th sideroad go east from the town of Beeton about 2 kilometres along the Beeton road and turn north (just off the Beeton path). The 10th line is the second sideroad north. The tilled fields east of this field have many Horned Lards and a few days ago there was a Lapland Longspur.

To see the Golden Plovers take the 9th line west from the 15th sideroad and search the recently cleared sod fields to the south about half a kilometre down.

GPS reading for Buff-breasted: E0600026 N4884679
