Two American Avocets, still quite colorful, were at the Pt Stanley sewage ponds (3rd cell) along with a reasonable assortment of other waders including 6 Stilt Sandpipers and 6 Short-billed Dowitchers.
Pt Stanley is on the north shore of Lake Erie in central Elgin Co. From Union Rd bordering the west side of the creek flowing through the village go west 1 km on Lake Line then north 1 km on Scotch Line. Paul Prevett Union
