Hello,
As I haven't seen any postings so far today about the Worm- eating
Warbler reported at High Park, Toronto yesterday I thought I'd report that
I, in the company for most of the time of a very pleasant lady, searched
for the bird in and around the area it was previously found from 6.00 to
10.00 A.M. today and came up empty. A number of other birders were also
present and, to my knowledge, also failed to find the bird. Of course the
bird may have moved to another area of the park and also when I was leaving
I met one or two top-notch birders arriving who may have met with more
success.
Bird activity was minimal while I was there---there weren't even very
many White-throated Sparrows about.
Directions to High Park:
Exit Lakeshore Blvd. at Parkdale and drive north to Bloor St. Turn left
and then left again at the entrance to the park. Go right and park near the
children's plaayground on the right overlooking the creek. This is the area
where the bird was frequenting yesterday but, to my knowledge, not today up
to 10.00 A.M. at least.
Hopefully if somebody relocated the bird they will post.
Regards,
Brendan O'Sullivan
Mississauga.
