Today May 30th, while walking one of the R.B.G. Trails in Dundas, I had about a
ten second look at a male Prothonotary Warbler. Since this bird was seen in an
area, which it may decide to breed in, I will not disclose the location. This
bird may be the one that Marise Apse saw earlier in the week, but that location
was perhaps four to five kilometers away. I would like to think that this is a
second male on breeding territory.
         Cheers ....Tom Thomas.

Hi All;

Fewer birders today than birds! Given more eyes today we would have had a
better report. That being said - we had a few goodies:

Yellow-breasted Chat - seen in the Visitor Centre parking lot this morning. Not
reported since, but as I said, few birders have been in this afternoon.

Whited-eyed Vireo - seen in the same location as the Chat was found (by someone
looking for the Chat!).

Hooded Warber on Spicebush Trail.

other warblers in the park today:

Palm
Ovenbird
Nashville
Black and White
Black-throated Green
Common Yellowthroat
Yellow

Thrushes - Swainsons, Hermit and Wood.

Other recent arrivals - Scarlet Tanagers, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Baltimore
Orioles.

Yesterday a Blue-winged Warbler and Worm-eating Warbler were reported.

Hi folks:

Just got back from Florida so please excuse if the following is an "expected
bird".

This morning there was an adult male SUMMER TANAGER hanging around the
backyard. Possibly the same bird that has been here two out of the last
three years. Got a couple of fairly nice pics before he slipped off into the
woods. Also male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK and BALTIMORE ORIOLE and a few
warblers.

If he reappears I will post here.

Good birding!

Cheers, Tom
