The female Varied Thrush was seen today at the same location at 8:45,
9:20, 9:30 AM.
It was not seen between 7:00 and 8:45.
Each view of the bird was for about 2 minutes.
Also seen: 2 Fox Sparrows, 1 Pine Siskin, + 1 Male Northern Harrier
(along Conc. 8 West).

DIRECTIONS: Take the QEW west to the 403. Continue westerly to Hwy 6
which
goes to Guelph. Go northerly past the road that will take you to the
Lion
Safari to the next concession road which will be Conc. 8 West. Turn left
or
to the west and proceed approximately 4 or 5 miles or so or until the
blacktop becomes gravel. That will be at Westover Road. Turn right, or
to
the north, and go to house number 1605. The house will be on the left
side
of the road. The bird is coming to a rock outcrop to the south side of
the
house where the owner has cast bird seed.
