Gull-watching at Wheatley Harbour and vicinity today was unproductive apart from good numbers of Bonaparte's. However, my brother Robert and I did get a lone Forster's Tern at the harbour at about 3:15 p.m.

This morning at Pelee, we had in excess of 100 Surf Scoters and a good dozen or so White-winged Scoters off the west side of the tip. A female Merlin arrived about 10:30, and Adam Pinch had a male Merlin a short while later. A Dendroica warbler slipped by me before I could get a good angle on it to ID it. We didn't find much else, which surprised me, but I'm sure more new migrant landbirds will come in overnight tonight.
