This Varied Thrush seems to be under-reported but as of 4:15 Friday I observed it along with Jerry Guild actively feeding in Flamborough. Also there attending a silo feeder was a male Red-bellied Woodpecker and 3 or 4 Pine Siskins. The owner is currently away and parking in the driveway is possible but we parked on Westover Road opposite the house where very little traffic is present. Good luck.
DIRECTIONS: Take the QEW west to the 403. Continue westerly to Hwy 6 which goes to Guelph. Go northerly past the road that will take you to the Lion Safari to the next concession road which will be Conc. 8 West. Turn left or to the west and proceed approximately 4 or 5 miles or so or until the blacktop becomes gravel. That will be at Westover Road. Turn right, or to the north, and go to house number 1605. The house will be on the left side of the road. The bird is coming to a rock outcrop to the south side of the house where the owner has cast bird seed. Terry Osborne
