I received a call from a friend who lives near Paris who informed me he had seen several flocks of Tundra Swans on March 17.
One flock contained a swan that was almost totally brown in colour, he told me. I have seen swans with brownish or rusty colouration in the head and sometimes the neck. Has anyone ever seen a swan with such extensive brown colouration? Any ideas on what this might be? Thanks for any suggestions. Bruce Duncan
